LPB T-11 Cotapata National Park Yungas Mountain Forrest, Coroico & Mururata
This is a two amazing day's journey, descending from the icy peaks of the Andes to the subtropical zone of the Yungas. The cultural characteristic of this place is the symbiosis between African and Bolivian Aymara. Coroico is a picturesque village with fantastic views. Mururata has an exuberant flora, as well as coffee plantations and coca leaves. In this area, -specially inhabited by descendants of African slaves- lives a direct descendant of King African Bonifacio, who was crowned a few years ago, as a symbolic tribute to the Afro-Bolivian culture. Overnight in Coroico, includes 2 lunches, dinner and breakfast.
LPB T-12 Half day Pampalarama indigenous Eco-Lodge Project in the Andes
Pampalarama is an Aymara settlement dating back to 1871, keeping all essential traditions and features of the Aymara culture until now. Located at the foothill of the Chacaltaya Mountain at the Royal Cordillera and at one hour from La Paz, visitors can enjoy a visit to this community, dedicated to agriculture, the growing of llamas & alpacas and the production of "charke", dried llama meat. The project includes the preservation of nature within a sustainable development. Lunch is served in a cozy Mountain-Lodge looking at small Lake Pampalarama.
