RALLYS IN BOLIVIA

Bolivia is now open for fabulous Adventure Rallys on Lake Titicaca and Uyuni Salt Flats and Crillon Tours has been chosen as their support Operator throughout. Rallys from Europe will run over the most spectacular roads and sceneries of Bolivia, with Jaguar MKII 1967, Ford Mustang 1967, Porsche 911S 1973, Daimler Straight 8 1934 and Classic Volvos, visiting also the most important highlights of Bolivia.

SUCCESSFUL TOUR TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE,
FROM HUATAJATA TO EASTERN ISLAND

This fabulous astronomical adventure started at Crillon Tours "Inca Utama Hotel & SPA", in the shores of Lake Titicaca, where the elite group of 41 eclipse's hunters of the ICSTARS/Southern Skies Star Party became familiarized with the Southern Stars and the Aymara Cosmovision at the native Planetarium, "Alajpacha". Crillon Tours "etno-archaeastronomist" Prof. De la Torre directed the Cosmos research. The weather prognostic was not very auspicious, but our Kallawaya "Tata Benjo", performance a ritual ceremony asking for clear skies in Eastern Island. After some days in La Paz and Lake Titicaca, we continued to Lauca National Park and Putre in Chile to finally flight to Santiago and Eastern Island, accompanied all the way by Crillon Tours specialist guide, Mr. Blanco. Just on arrival, the skies suddenly cleared and everybody enjoyed one of the most magnificent manifestations of nature. ICSTARS has already planned a larger group for 2011, to continue the research of the unbounded Cosmos at the "Alajpacha" Native Observatory at the Inca Utama Hotel & SPA, always with Crillon Tours.

Good news to all of us: starting August, they have a renewed fleet of Boeings 737-300; 737-400 & 767, replacing the olds Boeings 727. In December 2010, they will be flying to/from Washington in USA. Aerosur has also concreted a covenant with Lufthansa, which means that with only one ticket, passengers can board at any German Airport to Madrid and the luggage will be dispatched all the way to Bolivia.

NASA astronaut Doug Wheelock, who last August 16th conducted a spacewalk to fix a fault in the cooling system of the International Space Station (ISS), wrote in his twitter: "I have been enjoying the stunning and unique landscape of South America, and often find myself without words to describe the beauty. Here is a photo of Peru, Bolivia, and Chile with the majestic Andes stretching the length of the continent. Lake Titicaca takes center stage in this photo, on the border of Peru and Bolivia"…Doug Wheelock, who took the photo himself, do not hesitate to admire the beauty of this natural wonder.
